Policies

Guest Payments

Rest assured we accept all cards at the lodge (VISA, Mastercard, AMEX). We also accept all FOREX and local curriencies. Rates for FOREX will be determined by the local bank rates for the day.

Reservation Policy

Reservation Policy: 

Check-In Time: 15:00hrs - 22:00hrs     Check-Out Time: 11:00hrs 

Early check-in or late check-out is subject to bed/room availability on a relevant day, to be reconfirmed with the Front Office staff. 

Rooms not occupied by 22:00 hours will be seen as No-Show, unless prior arrangement has been

It is mandatory for all guests to produce a valid identity document upon check-in; for foreign guests a valid passport and for domestic guests, a valid identity card shall be accepted as proof of identity. 

Upon check-in, all guests must register through a guest registration form.  

Please note that any change in the guest’s reservation may change the rate and/or require payment of cancellation fees. 

Group Guests and Corporate Guests may have some special arrangement based on their contract with ASCL or based on a unilateral decision of the Hotel Management. 

For reservations guaranteed with a form of payment at time of booking, rooms are held until hotel check-out time (11:00 hours) the day following arrival.  

For reservations not guaranteed with a form of payment at time of booking, rooms are held until set cancellation time per the rules of the reservation.  In the event more guests arrive than can be accommodated due to hotel overbooking or an unforeseen circumstance, and the hotel is unable to hold rooms consistent with this room hold policy, ASCL will attempt to accommodate guests, at its expense, at a comparable hotel in the area for the oversold night(s), as well as pay for transportation to that hotel. In the event that there is no available comparable accommodation, the full paid amount for accommodation shall be refunded to the guest.

Internet & Mobile signal

Now one thing we pride ourselves on is our rural location. And that does bring its challenges, such as a regular mobile signal. However, the lodge itself does provide a basic internet service which can be used. This as stated is basic and is good for social media updates, and calls however it is not suitable for streaming or heavy downloading.

Cancellation

Bookings that are  guaranteed by credit card are allowed to modify/cancel the reservation by email or fax  

  • At least 10 days prior to the arrival date - no cancellation fees apply and a refund of the total amount shall be granted. 

  • At least 6 days prior to the arrival date - a 50% refund of the total amount shall be granted. 

  • At least 48h prior to the arrival date - a 30% refund of the total amount shall be granted.

  • If the time for cancelling without penalty has passed, the forfeiture amount will be 100%. There may be additional applicable charges and taxes. 

  • The refund policy is based on the total amount of the stay, not on the prepaid 40% to confirm the reservation. 

  • In case of proven deaths or accidents, a refund may be granted at the General Manager’s and/or Front Office Manager’s discretion. 

Children Polices

We love having children at the lodge but there are some policies we do need to consider.

  • Children of all ages are allowed

  • Under 6 years can stay for free

  • Children from 7 to 17 years can stay for 50% of the adult rate per night

  • Children should always be accompanied around the lodge.

Insurance and Liability

The hotel and management do not hold any responsibility or liability for injury or loss of belongings onsite. We will support any medical issues and have a close relationship with medical staff in the local vicinity and do have access to emergency doctors if required. Any medical conditions do need to be highlighted to staff on arrival including allergies.

Can we have more people?

As much as we do advertise the rooms as being a MAX capacity of 5. We do have the capacity to on occasion add a temp bed to the room to take it to 6. However, this will be at an additional cost of $55 per night.

Large groups

We do cater for larger than average groups and can apply additional discounts. For this just reach out by email and we will work out a bespoke plan to support it. We have welcomed, international businesses, schools and NGOs to the lodge and each has throughout enjoyed their stay. We do offer agency discount also.
