Day trip to Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park is the sixth largest national park in Tanzania’s Manyara Region. Located slightly off the main safari route,a lovely, quiet park in Northern Tanzania.In addition, It is most famous for its elephant migration and various bird species. Strangely enough, Tarangire is underrated park due because it is uncrowded and untamed. Therefore provides a serene environment for game viewing, birding and radiates authentic safari atmosphere.


Leave the lodge bright and early at 7:30am. If you are staying at the lodge make sure you eat a good breakfast and collect a lunchbox for the trip ahead. The drive to Tarangire is about 1h 30 mins and you will arrive at the gate at approximatly 9am. Registration at the park should only take 20 minutes.

After enjoying a morning in the park, seeing the parks famous large herds of elephants and a lion or two, stop for lunch at the view point at 13:00pm and relax over the river view. After a short break of an hour your will return to your safari drive

Leave the park at about 17:00pm and return to the lodge by 18:30pm. If you are staying at the lodge get freshoned up for some dinner or just sit by the campfire and just have a coffee.

Park fees, transport in open roofed 4×4, professional English speaking driver guide, guide allowances, excursions as per itinerary, full day game drive – 2 Lt of water per person per day during safari.

PLEASE NOTE: If payment is recieved for the trip less than 72h before the trip is planned please note that we will request that you pay for the gate entrance directly at the park with your own visa card. This cost is included in the $320. This is due to legislation where only prepayment for entry or payment by VISA card is now accepted at all tanzanian national parks. It takes us about 72h to arrange pre-payment at the local park offices.
